I am Dr. Andrea Colella, a UK-based German and Italian tutor. I have taught since 2011 and worked full-time as a private tutor since 2018.
Before moving into full-time private tuition, I taught and researched at the Universities of Vienna and Heidelberg. Lessons begin with the learner's current syllabus, level and assessment requirements.

Singapore-Cambridge German support covers the current O-Level syllabus and SEC G3 German from 2027. Individual reinforcement is also available for students learning German as a Third Language, including MOELC learners.

Before your first lesson
What happens during the free consultation?
We discuss the learner's course, current level, priorities and Singapore timetable. The consultation lasts 15 minutes and is free.
Can you accommodate the Singapore time difference (SGT)?
Yes. Regular lesson slots are arranged in Singapore Time (SGT, UTC+8). Suitable afternoon, evening and weekend hours are available where scheduling permits, so lessons can fit smoothly into your child's weekly routine.
Which school pathways do you support?
Tuition can support IB MYP and Diploma learners, German ab initio and German B, Cambridge IGCSE German or Italian, and Singapore-Cambridge German. The exact syllabus is confirmed before lessons begin.
Can you support Singapore-Cambridge SEC German?
Yes. Support is available for the German pathway currently examined at O-Level and continuing as SEC G3 German from 2027. Lessons can target reading, writing, listening, speaking and examination technique.
Do you prepare students for TestDaF and Goethe-Zertifikat exams?
Yes. Preparation is matched to the relevant CEFR level and exam date. Lessons can also develop Academic German, or Wissenschaftssprache, for lectures, seminars, research and academic writing.
Can you help a student learning German as a Third Language?
Yes. Lessons can reinforce the learner's current programme, including students studying German through the MOE Language Centre. Tuition is independent and is not affiliated with MOELC.
How do I pay?
Tuition is SGD 80 per 60-minute lesson. Payment is made through a secure Stripe payment link I'll send you.
