I am Dr. Andrea Colella, a UK-based German and Italian tutor. Before moving into full-time private tuition, I taught and researched at the Universities of Vienna and Heidelberg.
Online one-to-one lessons give learners in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and elsewhere in the Emirates direct access to specialist tuition from home. Each programme is shaped around the learner’s current level, goals and school or working schedule.

How are lessons scheduled for learners in the UAE?
Lesson times are agreed in Gulf Standard Time (GST, UTC+4), so scheduling is clear whether you are in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or elsewhere in the Emirates. Regular weekly slots are available where scheduling permits.
Do you support students following international curricula?
Yes. Tuition can be aligned with GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level and IB German or Italian. The learner’s examination board, current level and assessment requirements are confirmed before the programme begins.
Do you teach complete beginners as well as advanced learners?
Yes. Tuition is available from CEFR A1 through to C2. Lessons begin from the learner’s current ability and develop the combination of grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading and writing most relevant to the goal.
Can lessons be tailored for adults and professionals?
Yes. Lessons can concentrate on confident communication for professional life, relocation, travel, family connections or personal interest, while maintaining clear academic progression and accurate language.
Which platform do you use for online lessons?
Lessons take place on Zoom. I provide the Zoom link directly, so you can join at the agreed time from a suitable computer or tablet with a reliable internet connection.
How do I pay for lessons?
Payment is made securely online through a Stripe payment link, which I provide directly. The amount and currency are shown clearly before you complete the payment.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please give at least 24 hours’ notice whenever possible. This helps me manage the timetable fairly and offer the slot to another learner.
What happens during the free 15-minute consultation?
We discuss the language, current level, qualification or professional goal, preferred lesson times and any immediate priorities. This allows me to recommend the most suitable next step before tuition begins.
